Calico NM. (they/them) is a nonbinary Arab illustrator, researcher, and comic artist based in the UK. Their comic Kittish Banter was shortlisted for the First Graphic Novel award, and they've been featured on many online zines in the websphere. They hold a Bachelor of Arts with a First Class honors in Comics and Graphic Novels from Teesside University, a Diploma of Higher Education in Illustration Animation from Kingston University and are a two time winner of the Leni Oglesby prize for Achievement.

Calico is currently pursuing a Masters in Comics and Graphic Novels while working on the collaborative portion of their graphic dissertation Metamorphs: In Search of Nonbinary Media and living as a full-time carer for their beloved baby seal/fiance and their three tuxedo cat children.
